DIY SOS: The Big Build

 Job required: Client had an issue with the cwsc (cold water storage cistern) water beening hot and water over flowing out the warning pipe. To resolve the problem the draw  from the cylinder was increased to the recommended length and the overflow was also increased in hieght. Fault resolved. 

Feedback: Derek recently helped me to solve a complex plumbing problem that a number of other so called "Plumbers" had missed. He worked professionaly, quickly, tidly and kept to budget. He is a great worker, who is very amicable and took the time to talk me through the problem and solution.

I would happily employ, Derek again and have no hesitation in giving him my highest recommendation. If you are looking for a truly trustworthy plumbing professional who sets himself apart from the "cowboys" out there, Derek is your man -An honest, hardworking and reliable tradesman.

 Job required: Quote required for the following; washing machine leak- the washing machine or pipe is slightley leaking at the back of the kitchen cupboards- this has caused the cupboard to warp ? needs replacing and leak behind fixed Plus new integrated dishwasher (one already in place) to be plumbed in.  

Feedback: Derek was prompt and competitive in his quote of the job we needed doing.
Arrived on time and completed the job to a high standard, even spotted a couple of other plumbing requirements around the house. We will definitely be using him again. Thanks for a job well done

 Job required: Due to a leak in the loft which has been repaired, there is a hole in the bedroom ceiling due to water damage. A small hole is to repaired and the area repainted.

Feedback: Derek is very conscientious, hard working and honest. Communication was good and he explained exactly what he was going to do. He was very careful about using dust covers and cleared up any mess after he had finished the work which I appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Job required: Remove old bathroom suite and install new basin, bath, toilet. Install over the bath shower head

Feedback: Good standard of work and communication. He kept in regular contact before the work was started, and offered advice regarding what items to purchase. The work was at the home of my elderly mother. He was polite & considerate, ensuring that he kept us informed of progress, and cleared up after the work was completed. He kept to the quote provided. Very pleased & would use again.

Job required: Fitting two shower-screens to the wall, fitting a bathroom cabinet to the wall, fix plug hole stopper in a bathroom sink.

Feedback: Derek did a very good job installing my shower screens. His work was neat and he didn't leave a mess. The cost was also reasonable and he's a pleasant guy. I would definitely recommend Derek and I will be hiring him again in the future.

 Job required: Disconnect excisting mixer tap and replace with new one.

Job required: En-suite shower cubicle needs regrouting and new seals applied to where the tiles meet the shower tray.
Water has leaked over the years and affected lower section of wall outside of shower door - want section of wall (approx 1-2 sq.metres) stripped back, replastered and tiled (is currently papered), and section of rotted skirting board (approx 6-8 feet) replaced and painted.

Feedback: In a nutshell: excellent. I am 100% satisfied. Derek completed the work to a very high standard, on time, and for the price originally quoted. I found Derek to be a friendly, honest, polite and conscientious tradesman.
He was careful to keep the 'walkways' through the house clean and tidy at all times, and at the end of the day would leave a clean work area. I would have absolutely no hesitation in hiring Derek again, or in recommending him to family and friends.

Job required: Part of the drain pipe has fallen off and one of the support brackets has snapped.
We have a three story house, so we need someone with a large ladder to repair the drainpipe urgently ( very urgent due to the rain)
